Recently had a conversation in the Novice Network. Someone asked if the new mount drops in 'Ala Mhigo'. Normally we have players avoiding MSQ terms, and before this players 5-6 veterans had come online asking 'Does the final MSQ dungeon drop the mount?'.

Do people find it a spoiler to name drop the final dungeon? IMO it's not hard to 'cover it' or any MSQ event while still getting your point across.

Spoiler seems to be for mostly 2 storyline or huge event or happening in relation to characters and story and so on. I suppose revealing the name of the dungeon can be a spoiler but it'd be pretty weak one at that

It could, but that is why I use terms like "The level 57 dungeon" or such for the time being.

Depends on the person. I know in my FC we all agreed(kind of an unspoken thing) to try to refer to the dungeons/trials as "dungeon X" where X is just the number in the order you unlock it in the expansion.

So Ala Mhigo would be referred to as "dungeon 5" or "final story dungeon".

I think dungeon names are visible on the map with the blue dungeon icon, even if you haven't explored the area. So I wouldn't really consider the names to be spoilers.

I always say level x or xth primal or the name of the arena. I mean Emanation tells you nothing.

I wouldn't really count it as a spoiler per se, but I'd still suggest avoiding the name if at all possible since knowing the timing of dungeons can hint at the structure and order of events. However, as a quick look at the map will tell you that the inaccessible portions of the Fringes and the Peaks are higher level areas, it's not as though it's unforeseeable that we returned to Ala Mhigo later in the campaign, so I wouldn't consider it a huge deal if someone did use the name.

I think Ala Mhigo is a spoiler, but at the same time I can not blame the players for mentioning this. SE is at fault here, they could have given the dungeon a different name. The same could also be said for Doma Castle, there could have been a different name for it.

An example is the Primal trials, instead of Ifrit, its called: The Bowl of Embers.

The problem with Ala Mhigo and Doma castle is that they are spoilers in the dungeon name itself thus if you are in a FC people will see the name of the dungeon if you are in them. Also I am more of the opinion that the name itself is not that big of a spoiler since it should be kind of obvious that we have to free these two countries. It would be worse imo if someone is like. "So does it drop after boss XY in the dungeon Ala Mhigo" because that would spoil the bosses to others. (At the same time you have that one minion that just spoilers to anyone what will happen to the character..) So if you want to be save just say "last story dungeon" or something like that, but I would not be angry if someone is saying the new of the dungeon/trial, only if they start to say who the bosses are or what happens inside of it.

I think that common sense dictates that if you are in a public chat channel, you should avoid any and all spoilers regardless of how little you think they are, because you are broadcasting yourself to people who might feel differently.

That said, I turn off all chats except my FC because I can't trust people not to be inconsiderate and/or stupid until I finish MSQ.
