Most people that are in defense of jump potions are more pissy then the one against it, and can we stop using "I have job and a life" good for you so do most other people that play this game also.

You get an armoury bonus to EXP. You can get a bunch of items that boost your EXP below certain levels. Everyone else leveled their classes without potions, why should someone be able to buy everything to 60 without trying?
I'm all for someone getting one class boosted to catch up, since there's a butt load of quests, I disagree with anyone getting more than one class boosted.
This is why I am healing with friends that I know who didn't use a jump potion to tank/heal because it saves me a lot of grief now.No, the first part is definitely true. Leveling AST lately has been painful because of people not knowing how to play their jobs, and it inevitably turns out they used a jump potion. I mean, it's convenient for you, but keep in mind that, unless you're willing to put the time in to learn how to properly play the job, skills you would have picked up in the normal leveling process, it's probably inconvenient for the people who are queued with you.![]()
Yes I read what you wrote you lvled them on alts but not your others characters so my post still stands as my comment not based on account but individually characters.
I was against these in the first place. True to form, people are now asking to be able to buy more than one. Surprise.
No.
The gear that boosts your exp isnt really all that helpful. Once you start getting up in levels the stats on them are so low the amount of time it takes to kill a mob negates the xp bonus. You could wear them in a dungeon but then your group has to carry you through the entire thing while your useless.
Maybe if they gate the 60 job boost behind compleating the main story questline or say something that proves they know the mechanics of not only this game but mmos in general.
This, if they could also pass a basic personality test that stops them from going mental when you try and help them, that'd be cool too.
It sucks waiting 30 mins on a dps to have a run fall apart because the tanks arguing with the healer about who pays who's sub because neither of them know how to play the game properly.
If you're one of the people that have taken time to look at the basics of how the game works in group play and are open to learning: I'm sorry but you're the vast minority.
We have now 4.01, not 4.1
Don't forget food giving (though slight) an EXP boost as well. Throw in the FC EXP boost action, and even the food extension one, and you can get more. You get an armoury bonus to EXP. I wouldn't mind being able to buy more as long as the additional jumps are locked somehow. Maybe design it so that you need to have a character who already has the job at 60+ before you can buy it, limiting it to leveling alts up.
This way, you have your one potion that can be used regardless of what jobs you already have leveled and thus can be used to catch up to friends. Then you have the additional ones for leveling alts (or making alts to level a job via MSQ then paying money to get that job on your main leveled up which shouldn't be an issue since you would have done the 1-60 work this time around).
