    This is not a PvP game...not even remotely close. PvP is a laughable sideshow that should have never been implemented just like every other MMO that shoehorns it in for those few players who can't seem to actually go play a game that is PvP only. Just look at what they had to do with it...they had to make a separate "FF14 Legends" side game to complement the actual game (which is a heavy story driven PvE game.) The only way to fix the AFK issue is to either A) REMOVE XP from PvP altogether or B) Implement a "minimum participation" requirement. Having tiered XP amounts is just going to piss people off and significantly decrease participation. At least they have not touched tomes @ 70...yet. But they wouldn't do that unless they want to completely kill non-rated PvP off...

    If you feel that way. Fantastic. Don't queue into PvP and allow those of us who like it to have fun with it. Removing EXP entirely will do far more to decrease participation than a tiered system. Anyone who only values EXP was never long for PvP to begin with and I couldn't care less if they're "pissed off." Funny enough, PvP queues were highly active ever since the GC restrictions were removed. Ranked Feast died since SE refuses to implement a depreciation system, but unranked and Frontlines popped with 5-10 minutes all the way up to the day the servers went down. So this doom and gloom scenario doesn't exist. Furthermore, if we're going to determine game modes based on their supposed percentage. I guess Savage needs to be removed since not even half the playerbase can come anywhere close to clearing it.

    How many people would DF dungeons if the amount of XP you received was determined by how many wipes your party received (no deaths = full xp, 1+deaths = half xp) and/ore how long it took to complete the dungeon?
    Do you have any idea how many matches are heavily swayed by just 1-2 people? It's insane how many matches that are won by simply guiding people to attack at the same spot or playing smart and going for assists rather than trying to be greedy and get fevers every match.

    PVP already has mount and glamour rewards for winning.

    100 Seal Rock wins = Commander Coat set, good luck getting that though since no one plays SR.
    100 wins in Shatter = White ADS
    200 wins in Frontline (any) = Red ADS
    100 Wins in Frontline (any) = GC Horse
    200 Wins in Feast = Mini airship segway

    Until 4.0, even the winners didn't get XP. We still played to win though.

    Again with this... This isn't even making any senses since garo took place before 4.0, it was a bit more than a bunch of hardcore.

    Lots of people keep ignoring the fact that GC restrictions/matchmaking has done more harm to pvp than anything else. If playerbase wasn't as big as pve (from the most hardcores to the casual player) it would have been enough to keep pvp alive if it wasn't with this dumb matchmaking, even if it meant more 24m than 72. Put GC restriction right now or during garo event, be sure queues will die in less than one day.

    SE should make the exp like they would in fates, you have to hit x amount of damage or healing to get the max amount of exp.

    Wonderful, there goes my entire reason to pvp. It was wonderful before this crap, because the xp was good enough to be competitive with other methods without being crazy. Now 2/3rds of the players get screwed. And it's not even like it's some personal thing either, what the crap am I going to do that will make the 23 other morons on my team not be morons?

    If anything winning should have been given a 1/3 buff. Then you can still call it the same thing but the xp levels will be back to being competitive with the other methods. As it is now the 2/3rds xp is just enough to make pvp not worth the time. Even before it wasn't nearly was fast as POTD, but it was fun because it was still good enough to not be a waste of time and be a nice distraction from potd or the same dungeons I've ran a few dozen times before.
