Redo the Housing

Other MMO'S allow player instanced housing, friends can visit and do everything, while all players can own a house. (Guilds included)

ESO housing: To buy land they can use in game currency OR pay using crowns.

I suggest that SE in the interest of all players to destroy the current housing system and implement instanced housing, same for free companies. Refund all players and free companies the Gil and reimbursement for furniture and redo the entire system.

Benefits of instanced housing
-Charge real money or Gil to get it (for people that don't grasp this, means you have two ways of getting the house, you pay the Gil as normal OR pay through mogstation)
All players can work hard and not fight for plots, no selling plots any longer as it's no competition, no need for apartments so you free up that space to allow the instanced housing to work
No monopoly on the plots.
(Current problem) Across realms people made Alts and took up spots.

I feel like it'd make everyone happy if a better system is in place, since ESO has optional membership benefits and we pay we should be able to have similar housing.

I said real or Gil, (we pay for housing with Gil currently, but if they refunded and said it'll all be instanced) everyone wins then.

That's what ESO does and honestly instanced eliminates the need of a monopoly.

You can stop listening, most players want housing and we pay for a sub and ESO has a better system than us.

XIVs user agreement says they own everything and we own a temporary sub license, they can do what they want on this issue.

The goal of instance housing is we all get it, we all have that chance, and if you don't have the time or obligation we also can pay to obtain it.

Several individuals and FCs have alternatives that are keeping plots, whereas others can't have a chance to get them.

Housing is instance and does cost gil. What you really want to is to limit housing to one per account and removal of plots, apartment, wards.

Also only one FC can own a house. What you are seeing is a FC that is really broken up into multiple FC that use the same FC tag owning multiple houses. The FC is called FinalFantasy123 (FF123) but one house is owned by FC: FinalFantasy123workshop (FF123), FC: FinalFantasy123gym (FF123), FC: FinalFantasy123lounge (FF123), etc...

Can't, all FFXIV instance are tied to the Data Center instance server: Dungeons, Trails, solo fights, Raids, interior housing, guildhest, PvP, and so on.

Right and with the wards and apartments removed it frees up space to perhaps improve the data center, they claimed we swapped to a larger one and I think possibly the capacity could fit the changes.

I don't think you understand how instancing works. He wants solo instances to be created for each person's house. Its a system that many games employ and is perfectly viable for FFXIV. It's also the same as the separate instances that are created when entering a FC's house room or an inn room. They are server side not data center wide. Its not in any way impossible to implement this feature but it's an insane amount of work to do so and it wouldn't do a whole lot in terms of practicality. I don't foresee them ever doing this or at least not anytime soon. it would offer very little change for the amount of work that would go in to it. It's a huge overhaul that would cost them thousands of dollars in time that would be better spent on dungeons or other practical content.
