    Of course it would be great to receive changes on all 5 points, but if I have to choose:

    1. Most definitely. In progression, everyone dies. I don't mind the penalty for screwing up Aetherflow though; it's a git gud factor. Afraid of screwing up Fester or Bane? Then use Painflare.
    2. Agreed and a small change on SE's part.
    3. I don't mind this. During single target, Ruin III spam takes priority over any Festering anyway. It is multi-target that gets harder hit though, with the loss of Bane / Painflare during DWT, but then again I'll just adjust and use the DWT period to manually apply DOTs on the add. Two GCDs inflict 850 potency, it's still decent. I don't mind adjusting my rotation so I would Bane / Painflare outside of DWT.
    4. I actually disagree. To optimize SMN rotation over the tight 2-minute period, I actually don't mind the Ruin spam as my eyes are so busy checking out when I should apply my next Rouse, Contagion, Dreadwyrm Trance, Bahamut Trance or Aetherflow... on top of applying the other oGCDs not pertinent to our rotation backbone like Devotion or Enkindle.

    Oh one more thing about Point 1. If you die, not only do you lose all your aetherflow/stacks, get weakness but your pet dies as well. Meaning you revive, and lose 20% more of your dps then any other class. 120 Sec punishment, + weakness + 20% damage loss till you spend 2400 mana to resummon your pet and however long that takes. Oh and your pet is also weakened from your death.

    I'm hearing that SMN's have a 4 minute rotation now? Seems like they're doing more work for a lesser reward. For that reason I just can't recommend this job now....

    As a levelling SMN, I'd rate the lack of an effective heal for either ourselves, or our egis, is the biggest issue. Titan is useless when he has 10k health but physic heals 400 while he is getting hit for 500. The rotation devolves to spamming physic which is not good for a pet class.

    I completely agree on the aetherflow mechanic. I owuldn't mind if summoner was top tier if everything was played perfect, but we're simply not and get punished severely for nearly everything.

    We are also not a ruiner. and as it stands that seems to be job #1 for most of the battle, especially if aetherflow is cooling.


    However. I do not totally agree with bahamut. He needs work, but i don't want to see him turned into another potato crow egi (Or worse. Simply made irrelevent thanks to glamour).

    I think when summoned he should be stationary. Idealy they would make an actual model for him instead of shamelessly taking the model with all the allagan garbage on him still. I would imagine if we could make a new model where he just stands in place with wings folded both parties would be satisfied.

    And to add to the "most glaring issues" our heal is complete garbage. It heals for 500-700 at lv 70! while red mage is doublecasting for 6800+ at lv 66! We have ZERO sustain for our pets, literally! or ourselves! We can rely on drain if we have a target, but that only nets you 1300 health on average. Completely rubbish.

    I've been playing SMN and sticking with it since 2.0 launch and the only issues I see with it atm are the slow pet response time. When I use pet skills it just does not respond..only way to get them to go off without seriously sitting there and hitting the button for 20 seconds (yes we timed it a few times) is to put it on auto instead of obey :/

    Also not a fan of how we can't get stacks while under trance. Overall though it's not bad..just need a few tweaks.

    I use to be able to recommend SMN as a job. It was fun and though it didn't real like a full blown summoner like some people wanted it was still fun and had an interesting twist of the summoner using the powers of the summons themselves. Now though the glaring issues of a single mistake ruining a whole rotation due to wasting an Aetherflow, having no way to keep our pets or ourselves up like we use to (no sustain and physick being based still on MND for SMN), and then the talk about how glaringly annoying Bahamut is due to his size as well as one little bit of movement making him stop casting is just really bad design. Bahamut has a 100y range. Why is he having to move close to me to cast? He could be like a MCH turret. Have him come down and stay where he is till he is done. The point of the summon is right where your previous Egi was at. How is that so hard to do? Then fix the aetherflow issue where if the ability can't go off due to either no dots or nothing to spread to near by it doesn't use an aetherflow as well as fixing the pet sustainability issues then I might consider coming back to SMN. In the mean time I'll stay as RDM.
