I've often wondered since ARR why SE has never considered adding leveling-focused content geared specifically towards DPS to help alleviate queue times.

Hear me out, I know this is another DPS suggestion thread so I'll make it brief. My suggestion is to add content similar to Acropolis, where you go up against rounds of random rooms filled with a variety of monsters and objectives. Give each room a 'type' be it mechanical, fighting, etc. And then fill it with random monsters from one big single target to a horde of small fry. The difficulty of the fights would be tuned toward having a party of 4 DPS, with healing/tank NPC elements to move the rooms along.

Mechanical type fights would be like the 2ND boss of a Stormblood dungeon many of us are familiar with. The goal of this room type would be to avoid AoEs and follow visual queues common in dungeons/raids. If enough people in your group don't screw up, you pass and go on to the next room.

Elimination rooms would be simple; kill everything in the room.

Objective rooms would have a specific thing you need to do. Take drops from enemies to an NPC, use an environmental item to defeat a boss (Stone Vigil, Copper ell Mines), etc

These are just a few room types off the top of my head, but the formats could be endless and the constant randomness of each room would keep people on their toes. Each room would only take 2-5 minutes to complete and give a little less exp than a FATE. If you fail a room, you get a few retries until you all get kicked back out to the Duty Finder. Since this duty type would only allow DPS to queue, the wait times would be very fast, and be quick and steady exp. It could be tiered in difficulty, level syncing to lv15, lv30, giving a refreshing break from other leveling options and reducing dungeon queues for those who want to do that. Thoughts?
