Make it so blacksmiths don't have to have 2 main hands to repair their main hand. thank you ^^.

agreed, this is just a pain
Isn't the only way to fix this, if they make it so you can only repair a Blacksmith tool with, say, a Goldsmith tool?
The current system makes sense to me, since you use Blacksmithing to create the hammer in the first place, so you'd use a Blacksmith tool to repair it, too.

Sure is nice that Blacksmith can repair their own Tools as long as they carry 2 Hammers around. Can't say that for the other classes. Not sure why this would need to be changed. Think before you post Reika

Other classes can repair their own tools as long as they carry a blacksmith hammer around too and have the skill, considering it is repaired by blacksmith. but no other class needs a duplicate tool for repairs, however.
it would be fine if you could use the off hand, but you have to have main hand equipped to equip the offhand and cant repair something that's equipped.

Thanks for clarifying this Reika. So you're saying that a Leatherworker carrying around an Iron Head Knife and a Crowsbeak Hammer is different than a Blacksmith carrying around 2 Crowsbeak Hammers? The Leatherworker can repair their Knife using the Crowsbeak Hammer (considering they took the time to level Blackmith to R35ish) The Blacksmith can Repair their Hammer if they carry 2 Crowsbeak Hammers (not to mention they only had to level Blacksmith and not Leatherworker or any other class for that matter)
So we have this - I'd rather Level another class to do my own repairs than carry 2 Hammers?

no matter what you are ranking up, you need another tool to repair yourself, wether its another class or the same classes
its not like the hammer can magicaly pound on itself to iron out those dinks in it

Reclarifying. Armorer, Carpenter, leatherworker, Alchemist, Goldsmith, weaver, and Cullinarian dont need to have 2 main hands of the same type to do repairs to their tools, or ever. Blacksmith need a 2nd main hand to repair their main hand, since it cant be done with the off hand. All other classes need only have one main hand at any given time, blacksmith needs 2 at times except for R42-47.Thanks for clarifying this Reika. only one blacksmith mainhand tool is repaired by a different class. the others are repaired by blacksmith, which requires the blacksmith to have a 2nd hammer somewhere, wether he/she has to constantly purchase a new r1 hammer each time they need repairs, or just keep one around.

I consider this exceptionally trivial in the grand scheme of things.

that's why it was a slight suggestion. I don't expect them to stop the presses over this, just putting it in the air.
Also... Just because something isn't a suggestion towards to current hot workings, doesn't mean you shouldn't put it out there and get it to their attention early on.
