Bard, Ninja, and Red Mage are the most solid dps at the moment. Good mechanically with good utility.

Samurai is the highest personal dps with good mechanics but no/minimal utility.

Red Mage and Samurai may be overpopulated, and it might be hard to get into PF groups as you generally want to avoid doubling up. PF groups always want a good Bard or Ninja though.

Summoner, Mechanist, and Dragoon have mechanical issues than make them unfun and frustrating.

Monk and Black Mage are ok, but getting overshadowed by Samurai and Red Mage at the moment.
