Making AST heal as well as a whm, and have bigger shields than sch while also providing party buffs on top of that is asinine beyond belief, yet they did it. Who would have thought they'd "balance" tanks the way they did so that pld is just superior to the others and it's plain as day to see? While no one would expect perfect balance did anyone really expect such hilariously, incompetently bad balance as what just happened with SB?
