    The change to PvP has been amazing

    As someone who has gotten into PvP since the changes (It feels FAR more like a MOBA which I truly enjoy), this change to the EXP has been a GODSEND.

    1) I have seen a dramatic increase of people going after the objective. - I guess when your EXP is tied to actually doing what you are supposed to... (I even have noticed an increase in "Field Commanders" trying to herd the cats)

    2) Less people commiting suicide by running into teams - I guess handing over free points and battle fervers is far less appealing when you get less EXP?

    3) My que times have not changed one bit - No matter what the doomsayers cried, 3 minutes has been the max I have waited even at 2:00 EST (About as dead as possible for the USA.

    Thank you SE. The change is nice, even if a great number of players STILL need to learn what their role is actually capable of.

    I experienced all of that as well. Queue times are the same. And people seem more responsive. But that could be confirmation bias...

    It's sad that we had to get to that point. Everything you mentioned should be common sense, guess it wasn't till the exp were reduced upon loss lol

    Been feeling that as well. But yeah, could just be confirmation bias. (Still would feel nice as a placebo though).

    What I've noticed today (played 4 times today)

    -Queue times were the same. Whether will that change in the coming days, we'll see.

    -In terms of AFKing, its been more or less the same.

    -There's definitely an uptick in objective completions. In all my four matches, most people were going for them.

    -Bad plays (running into pack of enemies) still remain though.

    Like people said, this could be confirmation bias. I think at days end though, especially concerning exp, people will continue to flock to it. You have to remember that not everyone is doing it for exp, some are also there to farm Veritys, which btw, remain the same amount given, win or lose.

    I didn't notice any difference last night (we don't have an AFK problem though). Shatter still popped, my groups were still random (freelancer is the greatest) and communication still won more matches than any other factor. Almost gained yet another level I didn't need on WHM too, so the nerf isn't exactly devastating.

    I'm glad winning is slightly more relevant now (otherwise I was going to start making requests for raid drops if you wipe and time out rather than win!) But you still get a reward for trying so it's all a bonus when you already like the mode itself.

    I find this really hard to adjust to as well, it makes me feel strangely hobbled because I'm used to having so much AoE power. The conclusion I came to is that they want us to LB a lot more often and rely on that for both healing and the Esuna property, but I'm still finding it hard to get used to (I always held it for big fights before the changes, when admittedly adrenaline built more slowly than it does now).

    A lot of DPS still seem to think we can AoE heal on demand though, and merrily run to the deaths even when I'm burning everything I have healing people who are being focused. Sorry guys! Please watch your positions!

    I didn't do enough PvP to know whether or not it changed anything really in the actual teamplay, but... Well, I liked PvP, especially since 4.0, consolidated combos and "simplified" jobs were wonderful, as it gave a more dynamic and strategic tone to it, it was a nice way to level up an alt job... But hey, now, you get half the xp most of the time. Doing frontlines was as quick as dashing through dungeons, in terms of leveling up, but now, it's slow, when you're not winning 100% of your matches.

    So basically... Is it a better PvP in terms of teamplay and gameplay ? Sure. Will I queue again ? Yes, from times to times, but I sure won't try and do it on a job I'm trying to level up. And that's... disappointing. I spent a whole day going there as a WAR, doing my best for actually winning, because it was more rewarding anyway than just suiciding to end the match quickly, and I'm sure many others are just like me... So yeah, it's not affecting your queue times right now, but when people will start being sick of it, there will be no level-uppers to fill your queues.

    Then again, maybe I'm wrong. But I, for one, have been pretty disappointed with this change, and I think it would have been far better if the xp was given in a better way. For example, getting the former amount when you end up 2nd, 4/3 when you're first, 2/3 when you're last... Right now, it's just not profitable.

    What I have noticed:

    - The amount of players AFK is the same.

    - When 2nd and 3rd rank see that the 1st has alot of points, they give up and go AFK aswell.

    This change is only going to punish those that were grouped with players who are either afking or less skilled then the others.
