It's time for a FFXIV Anime!!!

After seeing animes like Grandblue Fantasy (bases on a moblie mmo) or the Monster Hunter aime, it\\'s time FFXIV had a real (possibly long running) anime! FFXIV has so much lore, story pieces, NPCs, good art styles and even some Soundtracks the anime could use or get inspired by.. and it could be done better than the mentioned animes.

If done right, it could become a win/win for SE and FFXIV.

Hope after the real life soap opera with FFXIV in it, SE will seriously consider licencing or producing themselves a true FFXIV anime. With a good studio, it could really take off. And with SB\\'s hype atm, would be a good time to plan/announce it.

You being the operative word. Just because you don't NEED something, doesn't mean someone doesn't WANT it. And based on your attitude toward it, it wouldn't affect you at all, so why not?

As a mildly bitter console-only non-Legacy player I would really enjoy it if they did a short series explaining what's actually canon about the pre-ARR storyline because it's actually really, really confusing sometimes when there are so many references and nods to it. Then you look things up but discover half of that has been retconned since and end up scratching your head wondering what actually happened. It would help flesh out some of the non-playable characters and let us see some who have since passed away actually doing things, which would enhance the storyline of the acutal game by making you feel more attached. They could even sneak in extra hints about characters with secrets we now know (as of the current patch) which they weren't able to properly foreshadow in the early scenes before. I like the NPCs and think they could carry a story on their own just fine.

Failing that, some kind of actual time travel expansion one day in the distant future would be just as good as a miniseries. I just want to properly understand the sequence of events and characters one day without relying on gossip and hints.

the ffxv anime was pretty good. I'm not a fan of anime, but I enjoyed it. Seeing a mini origin story of each character was nice.

also for ff14 1.0 story, look up youtube videos that show the old story lines. If you dislike minfilia avoid the Ul'dah story as you see her as a child. And she is a complete brat. :/

They can totally do something like Pokemon Origins and make small episodes that focus on different events (excluding the main character).

Imagine an episode focused on the Rogue guild doing a mission to save Limsa or an episode following Estinien on his journey to redemption and etc.
