Get rid of jumping puzzle in Kugane

What we really need is an Aethernet Shard at the top. So once you complete it you can always just aethernet back up there if you want to see the nice view again.

Then it will not optional anymore, but neccessary to unlock all city aethernet teleports.
Just hide a key at the top that give the player access to the hidden elevator.

Say what? It took me hours and hours and hours of practice and I finally got up there yesterday feeling so proud of myself. I jumped off and tried it again and it's easier now cause of my dedication. You just sound like you want someone to hold your hand like you're a little kiddy. It's hard and I knew I couldn't do it without practicing. Some of the jumps are annoying but hey it's a break from the subpar endgame

Edit: I am so sorry. After doing this myself I somewhat agree with OP. Getting to the top of the tower should have been where the sightseeing point is. That alone was enough of a pain, given all the invisible walls in this game. Jumping off onto the lamp post is just poor game design. Apparently SE didn't learn a thing from the player reaction to the notoriously shitty North Shroud jump.

Challenging is one thing, but this kind of indifference to the limitations of the game in regards object hitboxes and precise positioning is just atrocious design.

My only problem was when they put an extra one on top of that brown thing on ground level, and the only way to get to it was by jumping off the very top of the building in a very specific way.

Still did it with some marriage ring abuse, though. You aren't entitled to complete everything in the game if you aren't good enough to do so, get over it.

Likewise you can also go play a game that has it to your hearts content and not put "optional" content into an mmo that doesn't need said "optional" content. The point people are making is they want to do the content without having to do jump puzzles. There are other ways they can provide content without having to do jump puzzles.

You don't get to decide what optional content does or doesn't get put into the game. That's all subjective. If it was a requirement to get through the main story quest, you may have a point. But it is OPTIONAL side crap.

I think you're confusing content with a completed entry in your log. The content IS the jump puzzle. You're just a completionist who's crying that you can't do the content for your check mark.

It's optional. Move along and pick something more suitable for your skill set and stop advocating for the removal of optional content that others enjoy. They pay the same monthly sub you do.

FFXIV has had jumping puzzles for years now, so anyone who enjoys them as optional content seems to have selected the correct game for themselves.
