I don't think there's anything I can do to help, but I would highly recommend you specify which GPU you have (there are plenty of NVIDIA models out there). That will be crucial to anyone capable of helping. For example, I have a GTX 1050Ti and I can still play the game after the update. In fact, I updated because my FPS was capping at 59, which I associated with f.lux ( a program that makes the screen color temperature warmer). I updated just in case that would help stabilize f.lux and whether that was the case or not, my FPS is steady at 60. Very rarely falls.
