    1.20 made me not want to pay

    i main job a conjurer, this patch has made the conjurer and thaumaturge jobs stupid and have no structure in it at all anymore.
    almost all my spells are gone, which isnt that big of a deal but for some reason the devs thought it was a good idea to split up the elemental spells between the 2 mage jobs? that doesnt make sense. i thought they wanted to have more class uniqueness in this patch. all i see is that both mage jobs are going to be severely ruined in this game and thats the plan.

    also the biggest thing that annoys me is that some of the elemental spells are AOE while others arent? thats stupid, that just forces me to be limited to only a certain amount of spells i can use. now i can almost never use fire and aero unless i want to get destroyed by multiple monsters, but stone, thunder, and blizzard are fine? theres just no structure in it anymore, whats the design choice behind that?
    how did you guys seriously sit down and say this is a good idea?

    if your going to have elemental spells, make them all the same with maybe there own unique side effect like aero has, or stonera has, but dont make it AOE on some and not on others. and make one job learn them all, since thaumaturge is gonna be the BLM just give all the elemental spells to them, at least it makes more sense.
    and what happend to the AOE cure, why can i only learn that at 46? you guys dont think thats alittle high?
    and again what was the design choice behind not being able to unequip actions from your job? there are plenty of actions i have that i dont care for and dont want equiped but now i have to toss them in the corner of my third action bar because i dont want to use them, why should i have to do this?

    i have been behind you guys since the beginning, in full support of what you've been doing and how you've been improving the game based on what the comunity wants, but you just keep making very poor decisions recently and i really dont understand why. just like how you guys are going to ruin the summoner job. if you dont summon primals, what are you supposed to summon?? elementals? sorry not interested. why would i care that i can summon the same character model with a color texture variation. and if its some monster that we fight all the time, that makes it even worse. might as well make it a beastmaster.

    i just dont understand how you can belittle an iconic FF job like that. it would make sense if a small team of SUMMONERS had to get together to summon a primal but not just random jobs can get together to summon one. thats how i know you are going to ruin the one job i have been waiting for since the beginning and now i know mages are going to go down the drain too, unless you tell me otherwise, i see no reason to stay.
    which is highly disapointing because i had high hopes for this game

    i would love to hear back, because after all the posts i've made about specific issues i have never herd back from the devs, or herd that what i was saying has even reached the devs.

    Completely agree. I couldn't said it better without the use of bad language! This patch finished with any will i had of subscribing.

    It's like i said them...now they have 3 weeks to fix this shit with the 1.20 a/b before the game officially die. SWTOR comes in one week, billing in 3...so i do expect it to actually start suffering terribly in one week and die in 3 unless the proper countermeasures are taken...which includes, AT LEAST, the release of jobs now in 1.20a so we can see the real balance planned to classes.

    "AH" cannot save the game anymore and IMO neither jobs can...but it's worth trying. But the thing is that FFXIV was plenty of poor decisions, from company decisions to dev team decisions...it was horrid in every single aspect. If the bad release was enough to have Tanaka stepping back, then it's a good time for the next one doing the same...or, like i've been nearly begging already for a few months, actually bringing back the original FFXIV as a spin-off game. In a shared effort they can actually support each other and, over time, turn into something better than leaving only of of them could ever been because they target a completely different playerbase.

    The only thing i see here is "i didnt read forum, notes or anything for 3 months, this is a BIG surprise to me!" Well, almost all knew it was gonna happen. Dont whine about old stuff

    im not really against everything, i do like alot of things they do but there are just some things that they make bad decisions with that just ruin everything, and it all seems to revolve around the mage jobs. i just dont understand how there arent any posts about this

    i read it, but no one can fully tell how a feature is going to be unless you play it yourself, and now that the patch has come out, i played it and hated it. so feedback for them

    I must agree. this was way too much all at once and it is not what i signed up for when we were asked about major changes that would completely restructure the game.
    1.20 seems to have taken away from each class that which made the class good. Everything we worked hard to achieve is now either removed from the game or just given as we level, things seem to be randomly placed on the level to unlock and it no longer feels like we are working toward a goal. The idea that the spell "water" is no longer in existence is unsettling.
    I have been excited with each patch update and have been pleased with the changes until now. the only thing that even remotely did not make me happy was when auto attack was introduced, i thought it was done poorly. i wanted auto attack so that i could keep attacking while setting up a skillchain. instead we kinda lost skillchains and also lost the ability to use our purchased guild skills in rapid succession. that was ok, i lived with it and rapidly adapted. This is completely different and makes me not want to play. it is not fun anymore. it was difficult when i had to fight the UI, but it didnt ruin the game. 1.20 ruins the game.


    We have lost what made this game so amazingly customizable, the ability to use almost any skill from any other class. now we get a total of 15 skills that are auto set and a few very specific skills from other classes.

    I would rather have the initial release, with all of the bugs and problems that were not corrected from the beta than play this. My wife already has determined she will not even play the game, much less pay, unless this is reverted. I know that i will not be buying any more crysta until this is changed, which means 2 months of paid subscription for me.

    Please SE, use this as a test and decide that we can have skills again. you added some good features, but without the game being fun and exciting, i will not use those features.
