I don't shout in the first place. Way to assume. Also, I'm sick of people on these boards telling me that I don't understand something just because I disagree with their viewpoint. You're not all rocket scientists who are the only beings capable of higher thinking, come down off your soapbox. Block it if it annoys you. That's why the functionality is there.

well, people should use the search function too now. Shouting it's a viable tool, but searching can invite someone not in town.

I am not going to say turn off shouts, or if you are party leader don't shout cause you are annoying. Shouting is a viable option. But please try and use the search function, AND If you are party leader, List you party under the seeking members and set that up as well. Technically we now have three ways to get members into parties. Using all three only optimizes your chance of filling that group up faster. And if you are seeking a party, for the love of Twelve put a comment on what you are seeking for.

It was said search should be used BEFORE shouting or at the very least WITH shouting.

Problem is 75% of the playerbase being too acustomed to old ways and acting like Sheep about using search waiting for the wolf to show them the way.

If your sitting here saying to turn shouts off, your a sheep for following post number 2. Cause no one said anything about not using shout all together. Topic was "first". And even if first at the very least use search ALSO. When party leaders shout for 30 minutes when 3 people are in search asking for it the party leader comes off looking a little brainless.

Meh, I've seen people shout, but have had no problems getting groups with the search function. Each time I've "used" the search function I've ended up with a group in about 15-25 minutes, so people are at least using it on Rabanastre. People shout for very specific functions though, and generally the shouts I see are all for level 50 events like Darkhold runs, Ifrit, Moogle, Strongholds. I haven't really seen low level group shouts since the search function came up.

What you, my friend, need to understand is that currently auto-translate is not available in the search function. Because of this, yes it is more efficient to shout for groups, because there are things you can't get across in the search function yet.

Honestly, until this game has a population that can support a random dungeon finder, you'll always see shouts. It will simply be more convenient.
