I'd prefer nowhere near this game, considering attempting the same jump can vary between a pitiful hop, and sending you into the next postal code. They work in GW2 because the jumping is much more responsive, though I still hate them there, but thats more of a personal issue in that attempting any kind of jump precision as a max height female norn or male charr is agonizing, at best.

I like how someone wants a very minor activity just for the sake of finding a sight or such and everyone just responds with anger like they are asking the game to be overhauled...

I've seen several mentions that people had fun with this, I don't see the harm in putting in a couple more for them, it wouldn't have anything anyone needs and could be safely ignored. Just like those puzzle quests some people hate because they give no direction. No need to act like they are asking for jumping puzzle roulettes.

I love the Kugane tower jumping puzzle. I hope they add more, people that can't do it and blame it on the mechanics can either just not do it or get gud... Like seriously it's just some practice. I can get up it in a single try consistantly now.

It's like anything that takes any bit of time or skill is "bad" to some people.

In the golden saucer where they already are. Other than that, nowhere.

If jumping was super smooth than it would be too easy and defeat the point of jumping puzzle. They are supposed to be difficult. The clunky movement of MMOs is precisely what makes them fun for me.

In regards to the suggestions by the OP, you can't obviously put jumping puzzles anywhere where you have access to flight. This is why they put it in Kugane.

Jumping puzzles in GW2 were fun, because you could control your jumping and air movement. Jumping puzzles in a game with very rough collision detection and low polling on my connection = BAD. I live in Hawaii, I lag. this is inescapable because I'm always 2000+ miles from any server. Titan extreme back in the day was a nightmare, I have to react a millisecond after mechanics enable to make sure I get out or push the button or .. whatever.

Most of my friends who play this game HATE the jumping puzzle in kugane because even when we supposedly make the jumps, the server will decide that.. oh .. no you didn't. And blam, we're on the bottom again.

jumping puzzles that require skill and thinking are cool, but this game adds in a layer of randomness I don't enjoy. I'm gonna vote NO on more jumping puzzles in this game.

However it's not random or luck based. Controlling how far you jump is super easy once you are practiced. Being able to control jumping in the air like a platformer won't make it better, it would only make it easier, which would force them to make even harder jumps to compensate and then people will still complain.

There really isn't any way to make jumps harder other than having more and more deceiving hitboxes.
You basically have 3 jumps. Walking jump, running jump, and sprinting jump. If you want to stretch it, 6 jumps counting the back peddle jumps.

There's really no puzzle to be made for such a limited range, since your participation on the jump ends when you press the spacebar. That's what makes good platforming mechanics feel good. It's because you're participating the entire jump and when you land it, not because you brute forced your way through, cycling through your handful of set jump lengths hoping to have picked the one the devs intended to be used.

Oh, and if jumping was more responsive hell yes I would want more precise jumping puzzles, that would be and feel great. They could do a lot more if they adopted a more modern jumping mechanic like gw2 or wildstar. And, when you're given the tools to adjust the distance and direction of your jumps, precise jumps aren't "harder" and they're certainly less frustrating/boringly designed.

Oh and to your previous post, I've completed the kugane tower several times now, once for myself, and again to help friends. It's still terribly designed and not built for good platforming, let alone mediocre platforming.

There are way more than 3 jumps in any given direction. Like others have mentioned you can get different distances with the regular running jump based on frames as well as adjusting your landing in any direction just before you land (you can even do seeming impossible jumps around corners with this). Seems like people think it is super terrible because they actually haven't played without enough to see understand it .

There's already a jumping puzzle... in Mor Dhona. People just don't really know about it. :3

I think that jumping puzzles, so long as they are optional, are neat to have. I don't really care where, but I'd certainly like to see more. To answer the question more specifically, though, I would most like to see one in Costa Del Sol to take nice screenshots of the ocean.

Innocence doesn't mean an absence of wickedness, nor is it represented by the absence of anger or hatred. Innocence is when seeing others hurt also hurts you. When one becomes blind to the people suffering in the world, that is what it means to have lost one's innocence.
