Yes, but at least your book changes.Hey! no one has the right to complain about weapon aesthetics but us SMN/SCH sure occasionally we get awesome looking books like the Dead Hive Grimoire (which I still have glamoured SUPER SEXY, sexiest book to date the other primals aren't bad either) but usually we get basic looking books with the same designed pages.
Also SE has decided that SMN is a girl's class so sometimes we get a lot of effeminate looking stuff like pink glowy books GDI SE our soul crystal is green stop giving us pink and purple stuffs!! Don't get me started on our gear.
Also, you get to summon Bahamut. Any complaints on 'not cool enough' are silly.![]()

Sure but now it's ''Omg the dragon is so big and such an eyesore SE please delete'' after many years of ''lolsummoner you can't even really summon anything so lame''.
Funny how that works lol. Granted i've only seen such complaints on the forums which tend to be a lot less representitive of in-game.
I love the MCH aesthetics, personally. I'm also a fan of the new heat gauge mechanic, but I'm not a fan of how overheating works currently. Having to reapply Gauss Barrel after lockout instead of resetting to 0 heat is a royal pain in the arse.
Additionally, I rarely use Flamethrower for anything other than quickly gaining heat if I make a mistake in my rotation and accidentally overheat when Barrel Stabilizer is on cooldown. I know I should be using it to bump me up to 90 so that I can maximize my Wildfire rotations, but doing so just feels clunky.
Overdrive begs the question- why even? I constantly forget that it exists. I only use it at the very end of a fight or when trying to push a phase before a long transition, and even then I wonder why I bother with it.
So yeah, aside from the new abilities and terrible DPS, MCH is still my favorite job to play. SE just needs to retool the way some abilities work and increase our DPS and I'll be completely content.

I feel like I'm in the minority because I quite enjoy the current fluidity of the class. I find it's rotation to be very easy to grasp, much easier than before with the glorified cast times, and keeping my heat between 50-85 is hardly a chore at all. About the only thing I honestly despise is the fact that they took all of our utility and made them into role actions whilst also lowering a good deal of our potency in other areas and failing to fix the RNG frustration that comes with our randomly proc'ing core skills. BRD benefits heavily from actions that once were stables of the MCH line up and without a boost to DPS at present we simply lag behind while they shine by comparison. If we're going to lose half our utility to the class we share a role bar with and only getting a speed increase in return, we should at least be given a damage boost to make up for it.

Anybody know where i get the flamethrower quest...cant seem to find it

I admit, I would have prefer a double pistol wielding class myself, but I enjoy the MCHs aesthetic well enough that I'm currently leveling it as a second class (in hopes that it will eventually get buffed).
I love MCH's current play style. I am not in love with the garbage damage we do for the ridiculous lack of utility we have compared to BRD.
I wish there wasn't ammunitions "wasted" on every other skills which are not the base combo (so "Hot Shot" and "Cooldown"). Ammunitions here are completely useless, not even bringing any special effects by using them. At least, we can say the ammunition will cancel the gain of heat from "Hot Shot". But it does nothing else for Cooldown, and it's not even a real shot...
