Zenos Appreciation Thread [Massive Spoilers]

It's confused cause they aren't friends. In what way is he friendly? Did he buy you drinks? Is he protecting you from your pissed off GF? Did he order you lunch and housesit? NO! He flat out tried to kill you every chance he got. Just cause he thinks you're his "rival" doesn't make him your friend. Standard badguy anime thing 24.

The greatest of rivals are the best of friends, because they exist to elevate each other to new heights. All Zenos cared about was finding someone he could compete with, even if he had to raise that person himself. It is why he had so much vested interest in Fordola, and why he had so much vested interest in the WoL. It is why ultimately he saw the WoL as his friend, because after a single trouncing the WoL grew so much in a short time span. Zenos saw that this person would finally grant him what he had been desiring for so long, what he needed to feel whole.

Zenos does not give even a tenth of a fuck about Garlemald, but he does like picking up the underdogs and nurturing them to be something greater. If they have the potential.

Zenos was a boring anime villain to me. Everything he did was mostly from some fighting anime and he even had the confused thought he was your friend. I rather take an Eggman type villain than another Zenos anyday. Atleast Eggman is funny.

Also that's pretty neat about the RDM questline referencing your victory over Zenos.

Zenos is nuts but that doesn't mean he's a good character. People acting like he's an amazing villain in the series when Kefka exists makes me laugh.

Kefka isn't here in FF14 now is he? For FF14, Zenos is all we have.

Speaking of which, I feel like the entire MSQ was done rather quickly. It took a while for the main story of HW to end...
But the whole point of SB was to take back Ala Mhigo...Seemed fast to me. Maybe something will happen next though...

EDIT: Also, we took TWO places back, all in one patch. That's extremely quick. I felt like a few patches should of been
about Doma, and the the rest is Ala Mhigo, or near the end. I'm sad it ended already. :/
Like, after we helped Doma and all, we could all force up together and stop Zenos/Garleans at the end with Doma and the Xaela
in one big final battle, also giving Fordola and Zenos more character progression and stuff.
I can't feel for any of these characters when they're scrapped off in 1 patch.
Again, something may happen later on, but this is how I feel as of now.
The MSQ was amazing either way.

Finally a bad guy that was evil for the sake of being evil. Yutsuyu lost all of my interest when she started her sob story and all I thought was "Hien, kill her now before she bores me to death."
