Can we get a type of love interest?

I've noticed this final fantasy is missing what the others have and that's a love interest like Yuna and Tidus. I know you have the player wedding thing but that has no part of the story with it. Is there anyway we could get one where you could choose between guy and girl who you want to be your story partner?

I'd love this! Definitely have quite a few choice morsels I've taken an interest in due to how they are when my character is around.

No, I don't think you should have a partner in the canon story. Marry a player.

Seeing how we can get married in game, and seeing how many people like to build their character's personal backstory/relations, I'm very against this. That's something ONLY suited for a single player game, not an MMORPG where half the players in the world are sharing the same lover.

I see the appeal and approve of the idea esp if you haven't or don't want to marry another player in game. But I also play other single player games where this is an option. So it already has appeal for me.

1.0 had a kind of buddy questline. Might've been part of the MSQ, can't quite remember. They could bring something similar back.

Haurchefant was clearly written to be in love with your character, especially if you read the Japanese texts.

Also Aymeric could be read as having some romantic inklings towards you as well.

Only if the love interest dies so the HoL stays single. Everyone loves a sad ending.
