Enought to buy a large house on my main.
Not enough to a small house on this character.

Not enough to a small house on this character.
I've made around 6M just from normally playing SB from early access (no crafting or gathering)... So I really don't understand how people couldn't afford teleports.

Not enough to buy the house size plot that I want, enough to buy a house though.

Just bought a house, so am down to a few hundred thousand.
Just like many other games, there's a threshold where the incoming is great then the outgoing. If you've been playing an Xpac for 6 months, have all your crafts and retainers to cap, have a house already....gil is going to definitely come in faster then you can spend it.
But for many new players, it's easy to blow money on lots of things. gathering and crafting for Leve's to level your craft takes a huge time sink. If your a casual player, it's easy to give in to the market and purchase quantities of needed items to level something up fast.
But for the most part, if you just play the game, you tend to have plenty. As a mostly casual player (craft a bit, quest a bit, do my daily dungeons), I tend to hover around 1mil depending on whether or not I bust my bank to level a craft hard (crafts seem to be the big money bleed for me).
Lowest I've been since the Xpac is around 7k gil, when I decided to spend my cash on leatherworking materials so I wouldn't have to farm the same 5 animals till my eyes bled. But after some mining materials sales, and selling my off class quest rewards, I'm back up to around 1m again. That seems to be My internal threshold. I get over 1mil and I stop trying. I get under 500k and I worry about funds.
Edit: I think people that are running out of Gil aren't paying attention to the little things they could do to get a steady income in. Stuff like selling non used items in the market (including crafting mats, materia, etc). every quest that doesn't have an item you can use, pick a different job item and drop on the market. you'll probably get more out of that then taking the silver/gold pieces they offer. and of course, not buying gear on the market as you level. I tend to have no problems on a new toon as long as I follow those 2 points. Most people don't realize theyre out of gil until they're out, and then worry about getting more. If you just persistently put the extra stuff on the market, you'll consistently have more gil coming in, problem solved.

I'm around 70 mil but just saving not buying cute little pets and such.
I hover between 1 and 2 million probably because I rarely bother with the MB and spend money on things like mounts and minions when they become available and most of my classes are not at cap so I fart around in low pay zones alot. Currently I'm blowing all my money on relic and anima weapon grinds when not doing SB quests.
Edit: I also have been blowing some of my game time on an alt on Diabolos because I found out one of my brothers has been playing there.

94 million.
Should be around 200m if I'm not stop crafting since early 3.2.

I have no problems with teleporting for free. Aetheryte tickets are cheap when bought with Allied or Centrurio Seals. As far as gil I seem to average around 8M as I spend it on housing or whatever else I happen to need and can't obtain on my own. I could likely have a lot more if I played the MB seriously but tend to just sell excess or stuff I can't use from quests/treasure chests/etc.
got 3.1 mil so far and just waiting on the housing in the new area opening up, im going on holiday in 10 days though and hoping to god they dont release the new housing then :O lol
