How much gil do you have?

I've heard a lot of complaints from people who can't afford to teleport places, yet I also know of many instances of people being gil capped, at least on their person, even if not across all of their retainers. The wealth distribution in this game seems a bit more extreme than I'm used to in other games, with many people much poorer than I'm used to, and I'm just trying to get a feel for it.

Lol, no gil for teleport? That happens to me when I place all my gil save for a few thousand on my retainers.

Is it difficult to make gils? Yes and no. No because there are many ways, yes, because you need to spend pretty much time in the game and to be lucky with RNG. All random rare HL saleable items are interesting : minions, items for crafts, materia, gathering. FC can earn nice amount with the right items from expeditions... Extrems, Raids, Diadem or PoD highest levels can provide interesting things.

But it is a lot of grinding and farm. You do can earn 1M a day (a few succeed to do more).

maybe capped in 1.0 but when 2.0 launched they cut 1 decimal from everyones gil. so those who were 999,999,999 were now 99,999,999.

I'm sitting relatively low myself, though I try to not spend too much gil if I can help it. I think part of the disparity in this game is that battle classes have limited options to retake gil from crafters/gatherers. Within days of SB launching, all the monster drop ingredients are already selling for single or double digit gil on the market board. In a lot of cases I even see people selling them for less than they would to an NPC! Even the rare ingredients from high-level duties go down to super lower prices after a short time.
