Balmung appreciation thread

Still don't know what I'm supposed to aapreciate about Balmung? I don't hate it but typically when making an appreciation thread, its because something was given to players and its an attempt to make others remember the good times we had with person/community.

If Balmung is getting hate, its mostly because:

-Multiple repetitive threads, ironically created by people from balmung, suggesting in TL;DR words to get off the server even though they themselves won't leave it.

-Threads suggesting extreme solutions to problems that usually Balmung encounters

-Threads suggesting crazy ideas that make even other people from Balmung shake their heads.


Balmung should just stop Balmung /shrug

This is why I love it, I have a work schedule that puts me working weird hours around the clock, 24/7, no matter what schedule I'm on this week I can count on being able to log in to balmung and there being a good number of people running about!

@SenorPetty personally, I appreciate Balmung for its roleplaying community, even though I am not from there, I have come to benefit from them with the RP community keeping the flame alive. I also kinda like the meme of them being so popular, in a "Thanks Obama" sort of way. I don't really fault them being so full, they were catering to a group few others did until recently.

I really liked the role-playing on Balmung too. But Mateus has a pretty happening scene too, and you can actually roll new characters there whenever you want (it does get closed to character creation every once in a while, but nowhere near the level that Bal gets.)
