I am so ticked off right now. I bought the physical copy of stormblood because my internet is very bad.
when I went to install, I found out that the disk only installed the launcher, so I am looking at several days if not longer to play.
I saw some people said stormblood download was 16 GB. That is at least two weeks for me with my internet.

I don't think any of the disks actually had game content on them. It's always been that way.

Stormblood is 6.2 gigs. Also, 2 weeks to dowbload 16 gigs? I think dialup might be faster than that....

16bg may be an exaggeration, but I am lucky to download 2gb a day.
I contacted my isp, and they told me I am on the edge of their coverage area, and my internet is what it is until they update their infrastructure.

Any online game will have you update from the internet. The disk doesn't contain any of the update patches that they have post the release of the game or any fixes that might have happened after they sent out hard copies to the store. While you're getting the disk, you are basically only paying for the code itself.
