Please Please Please Remove Esuna From CrossRole

Now most good healers understand that Esuna is pretty much mandatory. However, you do occasionally run into those healers who don't have it on. Yesterday, while leveling my DPS, I got Satasha Hard and the first boss hits you with a mechanic that leaves you with a bit of health and if you have a damage over time (which is unavoidable to another mechanic) you will die. Well we wiped twice of the boss and we asked the healer nicely multiple times to use Esuna on the DoT. This was not a new healer at all they were 60+, but without a word after the 2nd wipe they left and we got a healer who actually had Esuna and cleared with no problem. Please SE give each healer their own Esuna back even thought majority of healers will have it on, there are many mechanics in the game which require it in order to prevent death and therefore should just be given back to the healers naturally through leveling.

JI was original outraged by the Role Actions being what they are, but I have to admit that I actually really like them. A lot more than Cross Class...

I don't really care if Esuna stays the way it is now, but I really do think people have to get out of the mind set that Esuna is optional... It's probably the most mandatory RA we have, next to Swiftcast. People can argue that "you don't always need to cleanse stuff" but the simple fact that there are times you do? That makes it mandatory imo. There us the the fact that being paralyzed as a healer/Tank could lead to a wipe in some instances, and stacking poison can kill DPS/healer pretty fast. Yeah you can avoid some of it but what if you don't? Esuna is always a welcome boon.

Edit: Phone... tgat is not a word.

It is pretty damn stupid it is on cross skill in the first place because I liked what we had before. I wouldn't mind just having Exalted Detriment back so I can have cleric stance on my cross skill instead.

Most status detriment in the game can't be removed and the ones that can are usually avoidable or can be removed by doing the mechanic properly. You don't need esuna.

This kind of mind set confuses me. So because being paralyzed in some instances is avoidable you don't need to set Esuna? What if you screw up and get paralyzed? You can't get a enough casts off to heal your tank ans then your tank dies, and it leads to a wipe?

To be honest that was just a bad. I have seen healers in 3.0 avoid using their version of esuna and I like the ability to retool. It's working as intended, they should have just retooled instead of being a bad.

Sorry. SE didn't give WHM any other means of reliable mitigation, so I have to take Eye for an Eye instead.

E4E should be in place of Protect after you use it at the start of a run. I suppose in a fight like Lakshmi or something you could take E4E instead of Esuna, and keep Protect but Esuna is a better option in pretty much every dungeon. You can easily switch anything for Protect to quickly cast it before a boss or something, and then switch it back.

Don't really know why people aren't utilizing the "no more CD when switching abilities" thing.

the scorpion should be stunned before that move goes off, a caster dps can remove the dot.... there's a lot of other ways to deal with it than esuna.

The fact remains that there ARE mechanics that need to be cleansed sometimes and what happens when you run into it with healers who aren't running it for whatever reason? The first boss in Dun Scaith for example inflicts doom occasionally in a pair of party members. Death is avoided simply by cleansing it.

Either way I felt it entirely unnecessary to make it cross role when it was right there on all healers' leveling lists, then removed to be made cross role with absolutely no compensation.
