    Not sure what your question was, but you can only change company name once every 30 days if that helps. You can change the short tag as often as you want though.

    Our previous FC leader changed the name unknowing it will incur a 30 day lock before handing me the FC, I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to do it sooner than that.

    Nope, aside from disbanding the fc and creating a new one you gotta wait.
    I had to do the same when I inheirited my fc. Previously leader did it a week before handing it over so I had to wait 23d. Annoying yes, but people often recognize you more for your tag than the actual name of the fc.
