a new summoner, question on pet stances

Eventually, I DO want to get to the point where i am comfortable with having everyone on obey and manually using their skills, HOWVER..

I have only played for about two weeks, and im still getting use to the controls and a lil clumsy yet at flipping around hot bars.

Is it alright just to keep garuda on "guard"?
I notice on Obey she only atks thing after I do but that must be a big dps lost?

Or is there certain skills that share simular skills with mine that i can macro?

for instance, if i cast ruin have it macro so itll cast one of her skills anytime i press ruin?

I know I know, ive read a ton of threads, Ive seen repeatedly, "put her on obey! keep her skills on your hotbar!"

and i will! eventually! im still getting use to things tho and am looking for the easiest way to have pet control atm with out a huge dps lost until i am comfortable with my main skills as summoner, and am faster at switching hot bars and more efficient.


right now only macros i have is:
a ruin one so it uses ruin II but if im synced it cast ruin I
then a swift cast physick,
swift cast summon I
swift cast summon II (found these online)


I dont really like to use dungeons to level, but i dont want to get into trouble in them, so will guard keep her from aggroing things? and pulling crap that doesnt need pulled while letting her do her own atks?

again, i understand obey is best, but im still getting use to this game and learning, so, lets keep that in mind.. thank you

HOW THE HELL DOES PVP BAHAMUT WORK? XD im not even 50, so when im in pvp i am so lost... he pops up sometimes, but im not sure exactly the combo i need to hit to trigger him?

and if anyone else has any PS4 macros to make life easier drop em below plz?

Fist, welcome to the forums. You overcome the "1000 character limit" by editing you post.

As for you main question, normally you use "Sic" and "Obey". Sic will cause your pets to auto use their abilities where as obey will have you pets just use there 3s ability; Burning Strike and Wind Blade automatic while everything else you need to click to use it. I'll get flak for this but I just leave both Garuda and Ifrit on Sic. Optimal use of Contagion would be when I go to DWT but if you having issue with moving hotbars around, nothing wrong with keeping her on SIC and just let her debuff at well. Also beware of macro because it could cause you abilities to not go off if you have a hiccup in the server. It can happen time to time.

As for PvP, first you need to use DeathWyrm Trance which is 3 stacks of aethertrail. After DWT "DeathWyrm Trance" has end you'll see Bahamut icon on you hud glowing which means you can then summon Bahamut.
