So there was this 1h "boot" around 1pm gmt (europe) of servers today so ppl that used other programs to stay in and "other tactics" and really werent playing, were booted out of server to give place to other players.

My experience, the other week and until yesterday when i logged in around 18h:30m london time, ragnarok server, i had always a queue around 1300+ .. which would result in a wait of 1h30m .... give it or take it

Today i logged in at the same time as always and i had a queue of 300 ... !!!!

Got in after 10-15m ...

It works because it's a good idea. The only people I've seen who don't like this are the people who are abusing it because instead of getting right on when they get home/wake up, they have to wait in a small queue now.

They would rather a thousand other people wait in an hour or two queue than to wait in a 10 minute queue themselves.

I also had no queue when I logged in yesterday, when it's been consistently around 800-900 or higher for me when I log onto Omega.

I think players in small servers have seen a slightly bigger queue than they'd normally expect, whereas struggling servers (Omega, Balmung) have had their queue times significantly reduced.

It doesn't look like anyone is waiting more than 30 minutes to queue after the boot, and an hour at most at peak times. That's awesome.

(Mateus had a queue of 26 when I logged in around 8 EST yesterday. Its queue is typically "1.")

I can tell you something from Cerberus, congested World.
EA till yesterday queues from 1500 to 3k while prime time.
Since yesterday...22...so not even a real queue anymore.
It works.

Well, there are people who play around that time, and having it disrupted by short maintenance isn't a thing to be happy about. I'd prefer to continue playing.

Please. A 10 min break is nothing. Plus they know what their prime time is.
For a long time I had to put up with constant maintenance from 7pm to 1am PST, exactly the time I had to play during the week. 10 minutes is nothing.

Record on repeat, it is also being used on worlds that don't need it in the least. I'm happy it worked for you, but for me it's only a 15 minute period I don't get to play, and a 1hr 15m period that I can't Q for anything (as a DD.)

Certainly not mostly. The majority of servers don't need this. We're all being punished for the actions of a group of people on just a couple servers.
