Swimming and Diving Improvements

Below are two improvements I would love to see happening in the future:

A) Immersive traverse between surface and underwater. Please, make it without this eloquent loading screen. The same goes for the underwater hubs. It kills immersion and make the world feel fragmented.

B) Let us use mounts on surface. There is no logical reason that we dismount the moment we touch the surface, while we can use the mounts underwater.

For A) I find the transition with bubbles really great, no need to change it.
For B) I agree that if our mounts can dive with us, they should be able to swim on the surface too. lol
But still, the swimming and diving is amazing to me. I really enjoy it so as spearfishing!

You can actually mount and swim on the surface once you unlock flying... Though by that point you really don't need to.

I'd like to see hidden treasure hunting places underwater personally. It could be a new gathering profession called salvaging or something like that where you find underwater caches that contain items with chances for rare things like minions, mounts or glamours.

I do agree with point B as well.
I found it kind of disappointing how (in Costa Del Sol) we'd just dismount as soon as we touched the water instead of swimming with a mount that can dive. I mean, I was a bit disappointed as well by the "swimming" animations of mounts simply being slow-mo versions of their flying animations, but that's an other story.
Mounts that can dive should be able to swim on the surface just as much, it would be nice to have

The real problem is the underwater things are totally useless unless if u want to stab a fish!!!!!!!!!!

I feel that Magitek Armor mounts should get an unlockable Torpedo emote.

Late to the party, and a potentially unpopular opinion, but I really, really wish Diving/Swimming mounts and Flying mounts were kept separate.

While you may find it silly, it legitimately annoyed me when I got Syldra and found myself hovering and flying for no sane reason. And now that I'm actually in the SB areas and dealing with diving, having my birds, dragons, etc. (including a sodding cloud of all things) function as underwater mounts without even giving new animations to them is feeling really, really irksome to the point I'd almost rather forego them.

May sound extreme, but I'd just rather we not have gotten diving if its not going to get the polish it deserves. :-/

You don't dismount when you fly into the water or fly out of the water.

You can fly right into the water...splash into the water and less that half a second later you are underwater. Likewise, you can fly right out of the water into the sky with a seamless move.

The only thing I can think of is, you havent learned flying yet

The only thing I'd like to have added for swimming/diving would be mounts swimming.
I'd love to be able to walk my chocobo into the water and then have him swim like a duck. Would be great for not being able to fly or people who want to "boat" around.



Add to that, give certain mounts(looking To you fat chocobo and mana slicer) the ability to let us fish off them. =D
