New black mage with probably a newb question

I got my Thaumaturge to 30, archer to 15 and arcanist to 4

Did the black mage starter quest and am now set as black mage and have my soul crystal equipped, however I cannot see a way to use any cross class skills, mainly Physick is what i'm looking for. I cannot progress further in the black mage quests till i'm lvl 35 so think i've done everything I can.

Has something changed since all these guides were written?

Yeah, 4.0 changes.

If it's from 2013 yes, it's completely different now with Stormblood. They removed the cross class actions in favor of role actions that each job role can pick from. As you level up you will only be able to choose the role actions they allow in your actions and traits menu. I believe this caps out at 5 extra role actions, which some shine way more than others.

Unless the unlock class quest requires a secondary class to a certain level, then yes it was rather pointless. =)

If it's any comfort to you that heal never was any good for us Blm. I slotted it cause there wasn't really anything else to go for but seriously healing 500hp when you're at 22k hp yourself just is useless.
