OP, I hope you realise that when you accept the ToS you accept any interruptions to service. Not only that but from what I heard the queues last night were leagues better on this server, so I'd say it accomplished what they wanted to accomplish.

The other day I lost power and had to redownload the game. It took 5 hours. Then, being on Balmung, I had to sit through a 4 hour queue. After that I became one of the people that logged in and AFK'd at the bell while at work so I would be able to play when I got home from work.

I am 100% in favor of this kick despite that. It makes it easier for -everyone-to pkay.

So the OP says we need to start blaming the company and is immediately met with criticism from players. Players that not only accept the burden placed upon them by the company but defend it? But in every forum post they always side-step the issue. Why did S/E allow transfers to a server beyond its max capacity? If there weren't log in ques to begin with, AFKers wouldn't be an issue.

Because a lot of people had stopped playing,so the server technically wasnt past its max capacity, only the creation limit. Expansion dropped,tons of people returned, and boom, max capacity.

Yeah, I already suspected that most of the people crying out about the auto-boot were AFKers, and this is confirmation. I think its a good idea. I can spare 10 minutes instead of having to wait much longer to cater to those who AREN'T EVEN THERE.

sounds like Curls doesn't do it normally, just since the expansion overloaded the queues

Yes that happens a lot. People who didn't avoid the afk timer wait 3+ hours to log in and just say "To heck with it I'll just AFK with a window up I don't want to wait again tomorrow"
