SE Limit housing to one house for each server, its time for some rules

Seeing there are going to be opening up more homes
i think its time time they implemented some limitations on them

ONE house for one server on one account
If you got a FC with more than 10 ppl in it you can get a FC house for your FC

to off set this limitation they should make it so that all Alt characters have full access to
this home

Alternatively, just make housing plots only available for Free Companies, and players are restricted to a single apartment or room in the Free Company house. This is really the only way to ensure fair housing for all.

I respect your contribution but if you wwere on my server you'd know there's many players who have alts in their own FCs and also have friends with alts who all group up together to skirt this and reap the rewards of owning multiple houses. It's not a simple of a fix.

I thought context would be enough to make it clear that my comment was meant as an "in addition to" sort of deal, but I guess not.

This is how it should be, and always should've been. I would argue that if it's still not enough, it should be 1 house per Account.

I like the idea of 1 house per server shared with alts on that server. This issue needs being addressed.

The problem is reverting to this now. While housing is forever more beneficial to Free Companies than a single player, taking away single player housing has two drawbacks: if they take it away retroactively, that's a LOT of gil they need to refund for people who got their houses, and a lot of time outright irreplaceable. And if they stop that now, essentially cutting off all single player houses from here on in, then that isn't fair on those who still possess homes and can effectively do the same old song and dance of logging in every 45 days, just to retain their property.

I've never agreed with personal housing being shared with free company housing, ever, but I also can't justify their houses being taken away at this stage in the game, unfortunately.

Square Enix messed this up the second they introduced single player housing. There's very little, if anything, that they can do that doesn't impact someone in some negative way.

I can understand this point of view BUT when there are servers merging in MMO people are used to this kind of unpleasant feedback. Then it sounds anyway like the best solution : one house per server per account and a payback for lost houses.

How I see that :
All private houses are lost.
Money is back after a three month delay. Why? In order to avoid people buy houses with alt FC's thanks to the payback (it is not 100% but will solve the main part)
FC housing and individual housing separation (for me the far best solution, and the fairest if people lose their houses).

And a very important point, they have to act fast : the announcement before the change need to be almost a surprise to avoid people try to make money for alt's FC.

"Fair/unfair" is not a question. The system is unfair from the beginnig for new/little/casual FC's (even more than for individual players).
