Lvl 35 SMN Quest Help?

Need Help with Lvl 35 Summoner Class
This is the fight where I have to beat Titan-Egi. It is called "Austerities of Earth." I can get past the first phrase where I beat Titan. Not the Dark Summoner phrase though.

I am level 35 and my equipment is all in the 30s. I have tried every type of pet I have and so far Topaz Carbuncle seems the best. However, I do such low damage, the Dark Summoner's and his Ifrit-Egi health only went down 10% in 8 minutes of fighting. I am constantly having to heal the NPC healer. She heals my pet(barely) but never heals herself and stands in all the AOEs. I can get both enemies off of her, but she still is constantly dying. I also sometimes have to heal my pet because sustain is gone(which I think is really stupid and we need it back.) The whole time my Topaz was under half health and healer was constantly healing it.

Any tips?

Maybe try using your own Ifrit and tanking the damage yourself? It's easier for you to dodge (and draw AoE away from the NPC healer) than to make your pet dodge. You can also use HP potions on yourself in between DPSing which along with the NPC healer healing you (can't remember if she heals your pet) should be more effective than spamming physick on your pet.

Also might be worthwhile to run PotD a few times so that you can way overlevel and overgear it.

E: I think you should also focus the enemy Summoner, just let heals NPC tank his giant Ifrit. DPS race essentially, defeat him before he defeats her.

I tried with Ifrit. I was unable to get the Summoner's Ifrit off of the NPC no matter what I tried and she died in like less than a minute.

First off I would use your tank pet so it'll keep the Ifrit-egi away from you (It will still do some AoE spells that you'll have to dodge). Then focus on the Dark summoner, stay close enough to Y'mhitra so she can heal you but not close enough she'll get hit by the AoE and keeping your pet alive (if need be...i beat it when sustain was a thing but don't remember how often I had to heal it) I think that should work. Sorry if not, it's been a long time.

EDIT: Also make sure your pet draws Ifrit far enough away from Y'mhitra as well. Can't remember if it matters but it can't hurt.

It has been a long time since I ran that but as I recall I spent less time on DPS and more time keeping the tank egi alive along with running out of stuff. In particular, as has been mentioned, trying to keep Y'mhitra out of stuff by kiting the boss when I could. It was a long fight as they go. Of course all of this was with the old actions and I'm not sure how the new ones will translate.
