Best servers for Australians?

Thanks for the help everyone. I suppose my main concern is finding a server which is active at reasonable hours for Australia. Sucks that Tonberry is closed, Guess I might try my luck on a JP server.

Kujata and Aegis are both high population English speaking servers on the Japanese date centre. Kujata especially, Tonberry is pretty bad anyway.

Gungnir is same data center as Tonberry there are some Australian over here too and is unlock. if you choose to come to Gungnir I can hook-up with other AUS but you have to hurry it soon it will be lock

I just did a quick google search and it seems Behemoth on NA and Masamune on JP are considered secondary to Tonberry. since Tonberry is closed they might be getting a boost lately.

Hey guys I've moved countries from Europe to Australia and I have been having a real hard time playing on the EU server so I decided to make the move to Kujata (Tonberry was locked) I am looking for an English speaking FC if there are any on the server that would like to take me on board! EU servers are terrible for Aussies

If you have trouble finding an FC on Kujata, there's not much difference between any of the US servers and the Japanese servers now It's only EU that causes huge problems for us. There also used to be a quite a few Aussies on Behemoth

Come to Asura, we have a smaller english community than Tonberry but there are 2 decent english FC's that do everything including raids; CALM and DMZ. Join CALM though, our members regularly help out with those who are leveling or need advice.

Since the server moves its gotten better than it was on the NA servers for me , probably most non southern hemisphere people would consider it bad but it is definitely playable. I tried Tonberry for a bit just before Stormblood came out and whilst it was slightly better connection i would much rather play on an English data center than have a slightly lower ms.The only time i really get frustrated or notice it that much is when an enemy casts a really fast attack i see the red on the ground and move out but still take damage ><.

Thanks! sounds like Asura, Behemoth or Masamune are the ones I should shoot for.

I'll have to remember the FC CALM when I transfer.

I can attest that I've seen Aussie FCs on Behemoth when playing on one of my alts. So, I know they exist at least.

Kujata has English players and FCs too. It's on the same data-centre as Tonberry so you have shared Party Finder. Plenty of people coming too, due to Kujata being a designated server.
