What does the scenario skip potion not give you?

Do you get the Scion Outfit Tatatu made for you or do you have to go to the calamity salvager?

Calamity Salvager, under quest rewards or.. whatever the tab was called, iirc. I had the same question when I boosted one of my alts up to skip the absolute tedium that is the 2.1+ questline.

Which by the way, most people don't seem to get the idea that a majority of skip potion buyers are people who have been here for years and do not want to grind the same tedious fetch quests over and over again every time they dare make an alt.

I'm almost convinced. I want to get these for alts like the majority of folk here. I have had these alts for some time and started progress, but never finished. The farthest I have is just past King Moogle Mog. If I were to use the story skip potion, would any progress of unlocked primals, GC rank (2nd Lieu.), recruit ranks, gear & Gil be reset or lost?
