this mass log off is a band aid which definitely helped the problem but not a proper fix still saw people back on AFK immediately afterwords but I was able to switch characters around 5pm and took about 30 minutes when the queue was taking 2-3 hours before.

SE is unable or unwilling to actually fix the AFK exploit
