Gear change macros

Idk what they did, but have to click a gear change macro 2 or 3 times now to get it to work and fully equip all the gear. please fix in 1.20a

They changed the wait time between macro lines from 3, I think to 1? Not sure on the exact number. I guess there is a problem between reading the lines and executing your macros in time before the next line gets read. Happens to me as well.

Wouldn't be a problem if we had regional servers. The latency to Japan screws things up for us while they work properly for folks living there.

Japanese players have lag as well it's not the servers it's the way the game sends/receives/checks data.

Global servers have nothing to do with it. It's all about the game provessing order. In FFXI we had global servers too and gear macros worked extremely fast and precise.

Also, regional servers are a waste of resources since servers will only have decent population like 8hrs/day.

Not when I played they didn't.

If you had issues with macros then it probably were your-side issue, not server...maybe a lower than average PC specs or PS2...the only place where, sometimes (still rare even there) i could have macros failing were during a full besieged. Still, even there it was very rare to see it fail (nearly everyone always used gear swap macros there at least during undead swarm).

Yeh happens to me too, pretty sure it's still quicker though so I like it. It was a bit of a pain at first but now I just spam it a couple times after it finishes. I'll take it a bit quicker over 100% reliability in this case, but I guess that's preference.

If you are suffering from network latency or server latency it will make you skip a line sometime resulting in the item not being equipped.

It was really nice just after the patch as the lag was so low the equip change was almost instant, too bad its not like that all the time.

P.s. New server can we have them not please !!
