SMN...and SCH broken

Maybe I am just a bit whiny here, but I really hate how bad they nerfed SMN and SCH, I hope they fix them in the future.

I am not asking for a big fix, just make our dots (PVE) worth while again or make bane more similar to how it was, or make the reduction of bane not so severe.

to me they are balanced in PVP

But thats just my 2 cents

However I am not saying its unplayable, just kinda broken right now when compared to other classes, and needs rebalancing

And yes I understand one class always has to be the bottom, as its just how MMOs work. Just salty they picked SMN/SCH to nerf

summoner is very strong right now , maybe even a little op

they do more damage than melee classes except SAM according to the new stone sky sea dummy hp
and they have strong utility as they can buff physical and magical damage

I think the struggle most people have (and why this kind of thread pops up allot) is that many have gotten used to how a class played during HW, and now many classes have flip flopped in this, frustrating allot of people who enjoyed said previous playstyle.

I certainly empathize: I stopped playing my Bard in HW due to the drastic change in playstyle. So I can't say whether or not someones frustration is valid due to these changes. But I think that as long as numerically the classes stack up, then we at least need to realize it's a personal reason. Claiming that a class is broke due to this isn't a good way to approach things. It's broken for you, now that's valid. but broken in general? not really. it still functions as a class and still can put out solid numbers while having party synergy. Just not in a way you enjoy. But hey, that kept allot of people from playing Bard in HW.

Actually, I may be 1 in a million, I like how SCH is at lvl 70, more focused on healing, even though there is indeed a big nerf on dps style... Don't get me wrong, I also liked how it was before SB, but still, I like it how it is designed for SB

Can we just stop for a second and talk about how we can no longer heal our pets? wtf? As a sch it's not much of an issue.. just party member #5. But as smn you have no more options.
Also is it just me or are the pets being hit way more by boss mechanics compared to before? I end up just using swiftcast for raising my pet now Oo

I keep seeing this "SMN is broken" posts all over the place, while SMN is in a VERY good spot right now.

SCH is definitelly broken tho.

Every time I see this in every thread, I'm just like "HOW IS YOUR PET EVEN DYING!"
I can't even remember the last time I used substain. I know it wasn't on my hotbar in 3.x though

Summoner's biggest issues are dying and the pet healing. I have noticed more of a struggle with Scholars in leveling dungeons but it hasn't been too bad at max level.

Am I the only that not only can't see the nerf to SMN but a big buff instead?
Yeah, they nerfed Bane, but they didn't nerf our AoE because of that. We get Bahamut, and with him, Akh Morn x 2. We just aren't the kings of sustained AoE anymore. But Burst AoE? Oh gosh. If adds will live for 20s...Bane -> Painflare x 2 -> Deathflare -> Akh Morn x 2 is just nuts.

Oh, and SMN definetly IS NOT nerfed. It just has changed, from a DoT class, to a Burst class. We have two Burst phases now. DWT phase and Bahamut phase.
