Well said!In terms of lore though, once our character has earned their WHM AF it makes no sense that they cannot continue to wear it while fishing, dancing at Gold Saucer or waving a sword around. They're still the same character; that's the theme of the game's job system. If people can cope with a gigantic metallic red pigman punching enemies as a Monk, I think they can cope with a really angry career WHM punching enemies as a Monk too.
You know, funnily enough, up to this day I still get confused about some classes not by what they wear but by the job icon, more specifically nin, mnk and smn. Is there current setting that could change the icons into the job abbreviations?
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
Pretty sure any "confusion" would vanish when they noticed the player punching things instead of healing.
also, they need to make it when you glamour you just have to pay Gil, I'm sick of having to go to the market and buy glamour prisms or finding out I don't have enough of them.

Please no, don't give them the idea to remove glamour prisms, it's one of the few things crafters can sell no matter what patch it is, cause people will always use them. Nor are they very expensive either.
I find the best solution would be to make the system work like in XI, so as long as your charachter can use the item on some class, you can glamour it. This would also give SE the sidebenefit of people spending more time and subbing for longer to lvl up more classes. I know that there's a couple of classes I would lvl to 70 just to be able to use their gear for glamours on other classes.
don't you dare take away those prisms.
At this point it's probably pretty easy to level yourself up to make prisms your dang self, honestly.
With all the particle effects flying about, is anyone really paying attention to what others are wearing?

I dont get why males can't wear bunny ears thoug. Again a Pegi12 thing or whatttttt.
Officialy ? Lore
I still think it's both denial that the idea was bad from the start and laziness
People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
What is the lore reason for this? I mean shouldnt we in lore be able to wear anything? I mean in lore we are alone (next to NPC) and I am quite sure that the NPCs dont really care what we are wearing.
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
Relic/artifact gear is, technically, bound to the player character only. There's only a handful of people in canon who are allowed to wear the DRG AF1, for example.
