The reason I find this topic relevent is because I play in Melmond. I am not trying to bitch about the ammount of players. I really don't care about how many players there are overall. So far the peak on my server is at about 500ish people. Which is not a terrible number. But that number is the Jp population peak which I don't play on. As for NA times I have yet to see a peak larger then 290's. It worries me because durring those 290's peaks for NA times 130is of those players are JP's. I have nothing against JP's and I am in a few JP ls's to increase the people I can play with. But if my server peaked at NA times w/ 500ish people most of whom spoke english that would be fantastic. I can play with JP's but not having an actual conversation with a person is not very fun and the Text commands can only convey so much. People estimate that 1/3rd - 1/4th of the people on servers are going to quit (These are the #'s I've seen I really have no idea.) So, If I am maxing out at about 290 people -130ish due to people being jp's, 160 - 20ish due to de/fr that brings me to about 140 players. 20 of which are likely to be afk because melmond has a lot of afk people I afk a lot as well. So, I am sitting at about 120 people to play with that speak english. Then Jan. 6th rolls around and 1/3rd - 1/4th people quit. I have 80-85 people left whom speak english at any one point in time. How is that enjoyable? (All numbers are from population counts at different times. The numbers are not exactly right but as close as possible from what I have seen.)
