2.0 is still coming out weather 5 people or 5 million are playing. So your "discovering of the real numbers behind how many people are playing" isn't doing anything except making yourself feel like you discovered something amazing that will change the course of the game. But it wont.

I think it's ok. With the amount of ppl that i see atm i found a lot of camps taken when i try to do something. With more than 2k (like now on every server on XI) it will impossible to do something like farming coffers and exping.

I think it has little bearing on the outcome of 2.0, but 2.0 is over a year away, and I'd like to know if I'm going to be playing in a world devoid of other players. There's not much sense in me subbing to a game with such a low population when one of the main reasons I play MMO's is to play and meet a lot of different people.

Of course, instead of thinking about it for a bit, you could immedeatly jump to the conclusion that people who are interested in sub numbers are looking for "ammunition."

I guess one legitimate concern would be with the low numbers, which everyone knew was low already, how will things be after the subscription rolls around? From my perspective receptivity of the patch has been relatively low so far, so even people who were set on subscribing are now reconsidering.
