    Help choosing a class.

    Hello everyone.
I am looking for more experienced people to help me choose between samurai and summoner. I was wondering if people experienced in either of these jobs at higher levels, post 60 mainly could give me an insight of the strong points and downfalls each of these classes has and how they compare for group content 1-70.

    Thanks!

It honestly depends on what you're looking to do. Do you want to be a meta player where you choose a class that is known to be better than another (SE balancing problems), or do you want to play a class you enjoy and do your best? I do not have SMN or SAM knowledge enough to tell you what is best. However currently, SAM can dish out the pain if you play them efficiently, and as far as SMN goes I believe they are still viable DPS, though it's hard for me to comment on that. I am sure someone else can explain it better but I figured I'd chime in since no one replied.

My advice play them both then decide... Sam is my main currently, both are viable in group content, both have pros and cons but outside of savage content everything is viable really. If you intend on doing that content, yes there will be a meta, yes there will be proffered jobs but it will boil down to you and your ability more than anything, try them both, if your an awesome Sam/smn you won't suddenly become terrible when gaining your end game abilities and visa versa, if you don't get on well with one of them, hitting 70 isn't going to suddenly fix that, play what you enjoy and what you're good at, it's as simple as that, if you are looking at endgame savage content you'll get a spot in most statics based on your ability not your chosen role, the only reasons you wouldn't are they already have melee filled and you're a melee or you aren't "good" enough for what they want. Fyi my static is taking both Smn and Sam for omega.
