Battle Voice can miss?

I'm not sure if this is intended, a bug or if I'm doing something wrong.

Once in a while my Battle Voice will miss every player around me. It happened a few times by now and it doesn't seem to follow any pattern. Happens with a light party and a full party. Also happened in different duties/boss fights. Although I'm not sure if it only happened in non-Stormblood content, but even then other bards around me used it without any problems in the same duty.

If I do something wrong I would like to know what. I doesn't make sense for a buff to miss players (it's not like we can actually miss anymore at all if our accuraccy isn't debuffed). You can't use it without a song either so it's not like I could use it without a song active.

I'm just totally confused by this.

Does it actually say it missed or just not have an effect? Cause skills going on cooldown without applying their effect is a latency issue. I've experienced this from time to time myself, mostly when my connection is unstable or laggy.

It actually says "dodged" for the other players. My husband was very confused when it happened to him and asked me how he could dodge my Battle Voice. This makes it seems like the game sometimes counts it as negative effect? It really makes no sense to me.

This might be obvious, and I might be an idiot for even imagining someone could miss it, but...the new Battle Voice states:

Increases the direct hit rate of all party members under the effect of your Mage's Ballad, Army's Paeon or Wanderer's Minuet by 15%.

Are you making sure to use Battle Voice only when you're certain your entire party is benefiting from one of those three songs?

Battle Voice isn't useable without song, as much as I know...

And I dodged it while having the effect of one of the songs...

That makes sense. Well, I know that effects won't trigger if there is currently another buff in effect that does the same thing, or provides a stronger buff. I'm not sure if anything shares the effect of increasing Direct Hit, but that's the only other possibility I can think of.

If that isn't it, either, then I suppose it's really just a bug. And frankly, even if that is the case, there should probably be some sort of clear indicator for it.

Ya, I noticed it always 100% misses a very important player, US! ...oh wait, that's by design, just as with Troubadour... -_-

It does say "miss" or "dodge" for the person recieving it when you use battle voice too early. Let's say you use a song and immediatly afterwards BV it's gonna miss the other players because they do not have the effect of the song yet. It takes about 1-2 seconds for them to get it. But that's not what happened to me. I tried this out with the purpose of seeing what it says, so I fully knew it would miss. I use BV a bit later in my opener/rotation after the song has been active for at least enough time for everyone to have the buff and yet it sometimes still misses.

I would understand if it misses people not in range of the songs/BV area but that's also not the case. Even people standing right next to me dodge it from time to time.

Afaik there is also not other aoe party buff with has the same effect. Troubadour never missed for me yet so it seems to be only a problem with BV.

Also agree D: I would like to profit from my own songs, but that's a different story.

From what I've noticed, it happens when you use Battle voice right after using a song, but before the buff shows up on everyone else. So wait a second or two before popping it. Kind of sucks because its off GCD so instinct is to use it right after.

No def happens even tho you have the buff. I watched other BRDs the last few days and BV missed altho they had the song up for way longer than just that initial time and I also had the song buff on me and it still missed. So it can miss even if you have the buff.
