- Enter your house with the portrait in your inventory.
- Type: /housing
- Select "Indoor Furnishings"
- Open the portrait's submenu (right-click; dunno what the PS4 button is). Select "Place".
- Place the portrait.
If you want things to line up properly without too much effort, turn on "Toggle grid snap on/off".
edit: Oh, you're trying to do unsupported things.

If you're trying to put it on the Masonwork Stove fireplace (I tried it once), you can't. It's not considered a "wall," so you can't hang pictures on it, it'll be placed on the wall behind it at best.
Really cause a lot of people have placed a painting on their fireplaces x.x But thanks for the feedback!
you technically can place it on the fireplace. But not with ps4, sadly. There is a glitch that you can do on the pc that allows you to place things where they normally cant be placed, which results in stuff like a picture on a fireplace.
If you go to the housing board you'll see a lot of picture of what people made using the trick.
I've personally made a floating aquarium in my fc mansion with the trick - but only being allowed to do it on the pc is a pain.

IIRC it required having a wall used to place the item, and was something to do with toggling counter placement, and that glitching allowing you to remove the wall without the wall mounted item being removed as well...
Ah darn it than you for the feedback xD
It is possible on the ps4 as well, fret notSo you will need your Masonwork Stove set in the exact place you want it. Next you'll need to place a partition. It could be the Oasis, Riviera, Glade, or the White Wall partition. You just need one, and it doesn't matter which, as long as it goes from floor to ceiling and you can place a picture frame on it. Your next step will be to place your picture frame on the partition and move the partition through your Masonwork Stove and line it up such that the picture frame is visible and looks like it's placed on the stove. Make sure it's placed exactly the way you want it or you'll have to start all over again. Your next step is to turn OFF counter placement and then click your picture frame (not the partition) and wiggle the joystick a little and then hit circle so it doesn't actually move it to a new location, it just separated it from the partition. Now, move the partition to a new location so it's no longer touching the picture frame (do NOT "remove" it just yet). Turn back ON your counter placement, remove the partition, and voila, you have your picture frame on your fireplace
Hope it helped~ Turn back ON your counter placement, remove the partition, and voila, you have your picture frame on your fireplace
Hope it helped~
Oh I have to try it thank you!
