Key doesn't work

Hello,

I have a problem which I'm having for a pretty long time already now. I just hoped the patch would fix it, but seems not O.o

Somehow I can't use my '^' key, which is annoying cuzz I can't type '^^' now in FFXIV
Also when i try to set the ^ key in my keyboard config, it just sais 'That key cannot be used'.
I googled for a while already, but I can't find people with this problem, so this is why I'm asking you guys.

I just tested those too, and indeed, I can't use ~, ´ and ` either.
The weird thing is that I CAN use [ which is one the same key as ^ on an azerty-keyboard, but by pressing Alt + ^.

I use International-US keyboard layout, and any punctuation used for combos no longer shows in the client. For example ~ ^ ` ' " which I use for umlauts ä ö ü since I am living in Germany. I used to be able to type them, but not anymore and I was hoping this patch would of fixed it. It's a little annoying when I try to use an apostrophe and my words come out "were", "its", "Im", when I really typing "we're", "it's", "I'm".

The Problem has been since 1.19 I think. SE should have heard of it by now.
But I don't think it is anywhere on their priority list with things to fix :P

I guess I'll just keep ^^ on my Ctrl+C then during playtime..

You can also enter it with the Unicode. Try Alt+94 (on the Numpad with Numlock enabled). Or make a macro ^^. I think japanese input layout and shift+6 might also work. Havn't tried that yet though.

I have the same problem above but I have 1 more problem that I use danish keyboard layout but whenever I am ingame it use US kayboard layout

Hmm we're bad readers it seems The 'known issues' in the patch notes mention:
An issue wherein certain accented characters (such as those with tildes, circumflexes, or umlauts) cannot be input correctly with European keyboard layouts.

I have this issue since patch 1.20. I have a Dutch QWERTY keyboard with US International interface and also my ^ and " ' (quotes) don't work in-game anymore. I have to copy all quoted stuff like macro's now.
I hope this will be fixed soon
