Would you know if the tank in your duty finder party was a bot/Ai?

So I had a discussion with the wife the other day about how good chat bots and in general the Ai in some of the RDM fights were getting and it led to the possible conclusion that if SE implemented Ai tank bots for the dungeon queues most people wouldn't even notice the difference. This is doubly true due to the limited amount that player's usually converse with each other in these instances. So what do people think would you know and how?

This is mostly a curiosity of mine but if anyone from SE is reading perhaps this is a good solution to the long queue times for the DPS.

i wouldnt mind an imperal robot that let me do some tank moves (123 chain for agro , aoe agro , and some Cds .....) so i can gain exp on my rdm or mch

Squadrons are already being developed for duty finder. I think that's the solution you're looking for.

I did noticed the DPS and Healer Ai was pretty good too... and let's add the ability to pick specific DPS for the Ai. this way I can always play with AOE DPS that knows their rotation.

you have the memo on that? because that prob will tip the game into no tank. SE should not give people incentive to NOT play tank because there's Ai tank... they should give people incentive to play tank because the DF reward is flexible (so it can be applied to the tank's other jobs if he choose to) and great ("Adventurer In Need" bonus is a joke right now. 40k exp and 4k gil ?) when you quene as tank AFTER you got your daily bonus.

If they do that, then they need to give me some DPS bots. Because plenty of DPS don't know how to do their jobs either.
This thing goes both ways, if that went through before you know it this wouldn't be an MMO anymore - people would just do every piece of content with bots.


I think implementing bots to fill our party roles defeats the purpose of an MMO - I surely would stop tanking if that happened (if not quit the game outright) .

There's Ai already. FF12 and FF15 both have decent commendable Ai.

I'm more interested in if they would implement it in a subtle way such that you enter Duty finder click go and if there is no tank available (or whatever) after a period of time it allocates one for you always preferring a player if possible and still keeping the existing rewards in place incentivising them. Would you ever know that the guy tanking for you is actually a bot?
