yes tattos too is nice idea , it will be good with barber shop to change hairstyle/color with new hairstyle they should add new one and beside that for miqots can change tail to bigger longer shorter , and tatos and eyes colors to fit with your customization

my problem with pets is not that it is wow'esk my problem is this game already has problems rendering the characters already and to add additional items to render if everyone has a pet would be double the stuff it is forced to render now and twice the load times in certain areas. the load times of some mobs in an area has already cause my untimely demise by going into an area and next thing i know 5 basilisks load in right where i am and boom dead. if ya don't believe me go to footfalls and search the rooms around there. there is one room that has prolly 23-30 basilisk/drakes in one room. they still one shot r50's and load in horribly slow.

I love the idea of a barber shop, and what a great gil sink! A "tanning booth" could also be a nice addition along the same vein.

Race changes I am all for, though probably paid for with crysta and only available once every few months. I love my Hyur character but I always wonder if I should've rolled as a Mi'qote 'cause they are so cute (and playing one as an alt just isn't the same!). I'd totally pay real money to try one out, even if I did decide to change back later.

The pet idea sounds fun and cute in theory, but I don't know if I'd like all that extra "clutter" to have to load. Just imagine Ul'dah near the market wards . . . !

I am not so keen on the idea of name changes either, as this is the one thing that is competely unique to your character, and if it can be changed too . . . how would anyone be able to recognize you? Of course you could just tell your friends, but IMHO it would have the potential to generate much confusion.

1-Change your name - Sure, why not? So long as there is a limit as to how often you can change it. And definitely allow both names to change, not just forename/surname!
2-Change server - Seems like it has to happen eventually, surely?
3-Change Race - No thankyou. I don't like the idea of people changing race. It's not realistic on any level and ruins any sense of immersion. I really hope this doesn't happen.

Free options

1-Barber shop ( Can change hairstyle/color in town with gils) - Sure.
2-Calendar in game to note events for LS - I don't mind.
3-pets that walk with you can't attack and can't be attacked just for fun - I don't mind so long as it's not intrusive and/or annoying. I would prefer the pets have some purpose though. The best idea for me would be for sheepdogs to be used by shepherds, birds to be used by fishermen, dragons by dragoons, etc. etc. I'm not for pets for the sake of pets unless they only appear in a moghouse.

True, I am probably just being over worried about the idea of name changes. ^^; I can just imagine that it would make it a lot easier for annoying/mean/drama-prone people to stir up trouble. Of course people can always just start a new character to do that, but when you are higher ranked, not only is starting over very unappealing, but it is unlikely that you'd be hanging around with the same group on your R1 character that you were playing with on your, say, R40 character.

Name changes sure are appealing though. After a month of playing, I decided that my characters name was blah and started over with a new one. >.< I'm glad I made that decision when I did though, no way I'd do that now.

i was annoyed that we did not get the new hairstyles and barbershop that Tanaka pretty much promised would be there for us on release or shortly after.

I want the chance to change my hairstyle/hair colour, change tatooes and markings.

A name change function is important, as sometimes a name you thought was good at the time becomes unintentionally offensive down the line,

All in all, i support these suggestions thoroughly, they don't harm a thing, and they add something for SE to get some funds out of, which is always a bonus.
