Im seeing a lot more eu and jp congested worlds then it just being Balmung >w>

All but 3 EU Worlds (Lich, Louisoix, Zodiark) still suffering congestion. Really think we need a second EU datacentre and move some Worlds off to that new datacentre. Followed by opening some more Worlds on there. That might also help ease instance congestion further as it'll mean 2 instance server clusters for EU, and not the one. Because congestion is as follows:
JP: 6 with congestion issues. 3 data centres (1, 2, 3 per datacentre respectively)
NA: 2 with congestion issues. 2 data centres (both on same datacentre)
EU: 6 with congestion issues. 1 data centre.

Bear in mind housing instances are apparently offered up by a datacentre wide server cluster, not the individual World server. Hmm, I can't be the only one thinking EU is bursting at the seams here and needing a new datacentre...

Bahamut is on Gaia, Carbuncle/Tonberry on Elemental, Shinryu/Chocobo/Mandragora on Mana
Balmung + Gilgamesh on Aether, no worlds with congestion issues on Primal.

Two day turnaround for targeting the daily logout more precisely; that's pretty damn good, SE. I really was too harsh.

Really think we need a second EU datacentre and move some Worlds off to that new datacentre. Followed by opening some more Worlds on there.

While I can see the datacenter shifts working, I also think creating new worlds might not be a good solution. In a few more weeks populations will stabilize as the hype dies down, and in a couple months there will be far less people logging in. It'll eventually return to the core players, hopefully a larger number than before expansion.

However, as the data I have put forward shows, EU has the worst congestion issues proportionally compared to the other servers. NA/JP have lots of uncongested servers. Consider the fact SE had to open 2 new EU realms, one of which is at the risk of becoming congested as shown here, and I think even after the hype does die down completely, EU will still have issues. I think a more long-term solution needs to be looked at, and a 2nd data centre opened.

Let's extrapolate things further. Let's go outside the inner circles of the datacentres and move to the outer circles.
NA: catches South America, possibly Greenland too. Maybe Iceland
JP: catches Australia, New Zealand, and other countries nearby
EU: catches Africa and the Middle East (I have friends from this game who live in UAE + Saudi Arabia).
I daresay the EU datacentre attracts an equally large playerbase to the NA realms. Even within the EU vs NA inner circles. Which is why I don't think the problem will go away for the EU playerbase. We're also pretty evenly spread across the datacentre as a whole, yet still suffering congestion on a lot of realms.
