    I don't demand my cable provider works flawlessly 100% of the time. I know it's not possible. If my cable provider was in the same position as SE where they felt they needed to do this to stop their infrastructure breaking and used it as a temporary measure while they figure out a better fix, I wouldn't have an issue with it. You're right, I do pay for the service, but I know expecting 100% uptime is unrealistic.

    LMAO, no it's not. Do you work in the IT field? I'm going to assume no, I'm a systems engineer and shit like this never happens in my datacenter. You all just think this is normal, that in itself is the problem.

    I've worked in the IT field since the 1980s. If you really believe that nothing ever goes wrong with application rollouts, or unexpected things happen that require more than "shove more servers at the problem", you have no clue.

    Do you work for an MMO game company? Didn't think so.

    It has nothing to do about being a sheep or even if you pay a service you agreed to the ToS so they have every right to being able to bring down the servers if they choose to. Even the fact that people afking to bypass the auto-kick function is against the ToS.

    3: 3.2 Disruption. You may not in any way disrupt or interfere with the Game experience of other players, including the disruption of Square Enix's computers and servers.
    5. INTERRUPTION TO THE SERVICE
    From time to time, in order to provide our customers with the optimal gaming experience, it is necessary for Square Enix to conduct routine maintenance on the computers and/or servers that support the Game. During these times, access to the Game or support services may be interrupted. Access may also be temporarily suspended in whole or in part, without notice, due to emergency repairs, fire, flood, explosion, war, strike, embargo, governmental action or failure to act, the act of any civil or military authority, act of God, or by any other causes beyond Square Enix's control, or any other reasons for which Square Enix, in its sole discretion, deems that temporary suspension is necessary. You acknowledge that disruptions of service may occur and waive any causes of action against Square Enix in any way arising from or related to any such disruptions of service.

    What a bunch of silly talk. So because people aren't getting their panties in a twist over some minor downtime, we are now moronic sheep? Grow up, seriously. This has all been pretty normal for any major MMO expansion/launch. Downtime is going to happen, and is written directly into the ToS. Things won't be smooth sailing for probably a month.

    To add, of course I'd like to see things be handled differently - like for starters, have the resets affect only the necessary servers. However, there very well may be a reason why SE is needing to reset ALL servers. Perhaps there is some truth to overburdened servers affecting others in the data centers, etc. We will never know their exact reasoning for everything, but lets all try and keep a level head and have some patience.
