    Are you referring to directly after the reset? Surely people understand that everyone can't enter the servers simultaneously. A *login queue* immediately following a server reset is a given: there's an expected delay as an overwhelming quantity of players are funneled through the login procedure. It is a different matter than a *capacity*-based queue, which is when you're literally waiting for one person to log off so another one can join a server with a current logged-in population that exceeds a set limit.

    Case in point: immediately following the server reset, Balmung had a ~2500 login queue, which took 20 minutes to move through. That was because a large number of people were attempting to enter Balmung all at the same time. But within 30 minutes of the reset the login queue was gone and Balmung was working with an ongoing capacity queue in the double digits. Later that evening the capacity queue had grown to triple digits as more and more people began loitering online while AFK.

    The game doesn't specify why you're in a queue (it just says "the world is full" in either case), so it's up to the player to use some common sense as to why the current line is there.

    It's a small fix but I appreciate it. Why are you even upset? Your
    server is fine, is it not? Or are you also waiting hours upon hours to log in?

    All of you can thank the jerks AFKing for hours to days on end.
    The kick should show you all how bad the AFK stuff is happening.
    GET OFF when you're done playing. Simple.

    It's "full" means that the area you are trying to enter is being throttled. 1000 people entering the same map all at once would cause more stress on the server than sending them in 100 at a time. You'll note that in just about every case immediately after reset/maintenance, the queues start high, but count down in 100's.

    If the queue never goes down, then that means there simply aren't enough people doing ... well anything. We all know SE can create instances if it wants to, but that does nothing for the underlying cross-realm support. Hence Rauhbahn EX and Pippen EX.

    all the people defending this nonsense - we are now 1 day short from being 2 weeks into the game from EA and over a week since official launch date. The only server that is seeing a benefit to this is Balmung as the queue moves faster but even then how is this acceptable for a p2p model. This is the kind of shit you would expect from a f2p game not a AAA mmo. I mean seriously instances crashing cause it can't handle that many players, DF instances crashing and not working, long queues to just get into the game to be met with instances not working and then wondering why you even spent 2 hours trying to login. My server is fine during peak times recently see around a 300-400 queue that takes if what 10 mins all the kick is doing is causing a bigger queue for no reason on most servers now and our data center instance server went down 2 times in 2 days on the 24th and 26th first one took over 8 hours to fix 2nd time not as long but this shit is just getting worse and worse.

    I accept shit like this happens on launch and for possibly a few days from it but its been might as well say 2 weeks now and nothing has actually really stabilised properly its more like the team sitting around a table with rosemary beads and praying things work out.

    Tried to log into Balmung last night around 7pm Pacific time.

    Queue was at 1500+ (down from the 3700-4500 I have been seeing). Waited an hour, it never got below 1000 in that time. At that point I closed the game, and went and did something else with my life.

    Did the forced downtime reduce the queue? Yep. Did it help me get into the game. Newp.

    The queue is not map specific, else you would have an easier time entering the game by logging into specific zones (and your different characters would have wildly different queues, assuming they are logged off in different zones).

    And, yep, I'm aware that following a reset people are being granted entry to in waves. That's what I was describing above when I was discussing the difference between it and capacity-based queues. My point was the game doesn't let you know whether the queue you're in is capacity based (meaning you are literally waiting for other players to log off before you can advance further in the queue), or whether it's a result of throttled entry into the world (meaning room is available, but people are being brought in in waves to reduce stress on the system). The latter happens immediately following a reset, while the former tends to happen during prime-time hours on congested worlds. So, when people are complaining there's a queue immediately following these afternoon resets (even on worlds that normally don't have capacity-based queues) - I'm saying it's to be expected.

    Well i tonight will find out if it still working otherwise worked the same hours since launch where get home around 4-5pm est and would have like 2 hour queue, last night got home around 5/5:30 and was able to log in right away so I did see a difference last night.

    Why do everyone post how big the queue was after the reset, but not how long it needed to reach 0?
    What speed have your queues, will it go down 100 each tick or will it still remain at the same number for 10 minutes before reducing by 100 for the next 10 minutes?
