10-15 minutes might not sound like much, but for someone who has only an hour or two to play a day (if that), this can be incredibly problematic. If they're going to do it, it should be for the benefit of the players its affecting. Not just some of the players.

Exactly this. My friend got home from work at 9pm, sit down then suddenly notification pop. 1 hour to NOT DO ANYTHING.
And now he has to get on at 10pm and go to bed at 3am (instead of 1am) because our usual static have to suspend activities for 2 hours.
